Museo where they play while learning

The children have several possibilities to have fun while they learn with the different exhibitions at the Museu de les Ciències.

In “L’Espai dels Xiquets” for example, they experiment with their senses, the nature of water, the world of animals and build their own house; all of this at no additional cost to the general entrance to the Museum.

Projections for children

The Hemisfèric projections bring together science, nature, astronomy and adventure that can be enjoyed through different projection systems on its 900-square-meter concave screen.

Oceanographic aquarium

The Oceanogràfic of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències is the largest aquarium in Europe, and it represents the main marine ecosystems of the planet.

Children enjoy seeing the different species in the aquariums and the dolphins in the largest dolphinarium in Europe.

In the exhibitions, the little ones have panels where they are explained in an adapted language and with children’s calligraphy, the ecosystems that are represented and their inhabitants.

They will enjoy walking through the Garden of Astronomy.

Through models, panels, astronomical instruments that the public can manipulate and interact with, the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències addresses the basic principles of astronomy that have been known since antiquity.

These are twelve elements with which to observe the apparent movement of the celestial vault when turning a sphere, and see how the sky changes depending on the city in which we find ourselves; measure the maximum height of the Sun above the horizon; observe how the shadow of the gnomon moves because of the Sun; or know the solar and civil time by means of a sundial.

The Science to Scene workshops, are a representation of scientific experiments, whose objective is to communicate science in a funny way, surprising children and adults.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, who must also purchase the ticket. The workshops are held in Spanish
