The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination which is made up of five main elements: the Hemisfèric, IMAX cinema and digital projections; the Umbracle, a landscaped vantage point and car park; the Science Museum, an innovative centre of interactive science: the Oceanogràfic, the largest aquarium in Europe; the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, which takes care of the operatic programme, and the Ágora, which hosts the CaixaForum.

Museu de les ciències map

The Museu de les Ciències has a building area of over 42,000 square metres, of which 26,000 square metres are for exhibitions. The building is on four floors.

 

The ground floor includes the so-called Minor street, which houses the main services open to the public (ticket offices, restaurants, shops,…), and access to the Santiago Grisolía Auditorium and the Salón Arquerías where all kinds of congresses and events are held. The Minor street is open free to the public and is the venue for a number of exhibitions throughout the year.
