“Música en Abierto con Berklee” is a collaboration between Berklee Valencia and the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències, which results in different activities that integrate science, music, art, and entertainment during the academic year.

Música en Abierto con Berklee’ provides a diverse, accessible, and free music program for all kinds of audiences. Travel around the world, exploring characteristic music styles from different countries; get to know the latest trends; learn how technology has become a musician’s main tool nowadays; and discover unexpected and unusual soundscapes.

Our offerings include concerts and activities where science, creativity, and music are combined to generate something completely original, thanks to the excellent and talented musicians of Berklee Valencia, who will surprise us with their techniques and the inspiration in each performance.

Berklee College of Music is the preeminent institute of contemporary music and the performing arts, offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs at its campuses in Boston, Massachusetts and Valencia, Spain, and through its award-winning distance learning program, Berklee Online.

Dedicated to nurturing the creative and career potential of the world’s most inspired artists, Berklee’s commitment to arts education is reflected in the work of its students, faculty, and alumni—hundreds of whom have been recognized with Grammy, Tony, Oscar, and Emmy awards.

At Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee, students explore interdisciplinary approaches to music, dance, theater, film, business, healthcare, education, technology, and more. With students and alumni from more than 100 nations and educational partners across the world, we are forging new connections among art forms, musical traditions, and technologies to build a dynamic, diverse, and collaborative global arts community.

Berklee’s campus in Valencia is the first international campus established by the renowned Berklee College of Music – and its first campus outside of Boston. Located in the iconic City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain, the magnificent 3,600 square meter campus has been designed specifically for music and is equipped with state-of-the art technology.

Berklee’s Valencia campus aims to provide a hub to launch the careers across the globe for the most musically talented international students. Offering a unique curriculum, as well as an International Career Center to assist students in their transition from student to music professional, the campus presented Berklee College of Music’s first graduate master’s degree programs in contemporary music (Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games); Contemporary Performance (Production Concentration); and Global Entertainment and Music Business) in September 2012, and launched a fourth new graduate program: Music Production, Technology, and Innovation in September 2013.

In addition, Berklee’s campus in Valencia offers the First Year Abroad and the Study Abroad programs for Berklee students from Boston to study for one or two terms at Valencia, Summer and Special Programs, as well as a new way for musicians around the world to join the global music community – as performers, as practitioners, and as leaders.
