Explore space in the exhibition Up to Space. Space Mission, co-produced by the Universum® Museum -Bremen Science Centre- and the “La Caixa” Foundation.

Get ready for an out-of-this-world experience!

At Up to Space, we invite you to take space training, travel through the cosmos and discover what life is like in space from a scientific perspective. Through interactive modules, virtual reality animations, and original objects, you’ll learn about the daily lives of astronauts and how they deal with the challenges of space.

The tour begins with astronaut-like training, followed by an exciting rocket launch that will take you past the Moon and Mars, to the International Space Station (ISS), and back to Earth. You’ll be able to test your skills, admire real spacesuits, and walk on the Moon.

On the ISS, you’ll learn about the research projects being carried out and discover what daily life is like in space, including aspects such as eating, sleeping, and even coping with space sickness. In addition, you’ll enjoy stunning satellite images of Earth that offer a new perspective on our planet, while learning about how these images are generated and their impact on our everyday lives.

Do you want to travel to space? If this is your goal, you can apply to become an astronaut at the European Space Agency (ESA). Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in natural sciences, engineering, mathematics, or medicine.
