THE SCIENCE BEHIND PIXAR
Immerse yourself in the Pixar Universe, an exhibition spanning over a thousand square meters that showcases the creative process bringing to life the most famous characters in the history of computer animation, such as Buzz Lightyear, Dory, Mike, or Sully.
The visit begins with a video describing how an idea can evolve into a film, unveiling the production process of this incredible industry. Additionally, the exhibit reviews the major technical and artistic milestones of Pixar, a pioneering company in computer animation, and analyzes the three key aspects in the development of movies: characters, worlds, and stories. The exhibition is divided into eight sections, each focusing on a step of the cinematic process to turn an idea into a film: modeling, rigging, surfaces, sets, cameras, animation, simulation, lighting and rendering.
‘The Science behind Pixar’ is an exhibition developed by the Museum of Science, Boston in collaboration with Pixar Animation Studios, revealing everything that happens behind the screen.
