20 AMB TU, CONTIGO, WITH YOU

Exhibition, open to everyone, which journeys through the 20-year history of the Museu de les Ciències by showing the meaningful items which have been part of that history.

November 13, 2020, the Museu de les Ciències turned 20. As a result, the exhibition “20 amb tu, contigo, with you”, a journey through those two decades of the popularisation of science and commitment to culture, was created. The showing recalls what life was like in the year 2000. The beginning of a new millennium, a new century and decade in which we began to carry our first mobile phones, life exited without the internet and the International Space Station was under construction.

“20 amb tu, contigo, with you” presents, time-capsule style, the most important items that have defined the Museu de les Ciències as a model of interactive science. A way of seeing its historical development through the pieces and modules of different exhibitions which have provided understanding of scientific phenomena through experimentation and entertainment during those 20 years. In addition, with a computer program, visitors can fashion a new time capsule that will be opened in 2040.
