ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION: ASTROCIUTAT. UNTIL 18 JULY 2024
The Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències announces the first edition of the national astrophotography competition ASTROCIUTAT. The Universe in Pictures.
The participation period will run from Tuesday 4 June 2024 at 3.00 pm until Thursday 18 July 2024 at 3.00 pm (Madrid time). The awards ceremony will be held on 4 October 2024, Space Day, at the Museu de les Ciències.
Participate with your snapshots of the universe and show your talent, incredible prizes are waiting for you!
The competition categories are as follows:
- Deep sky
- Moon
- Sun
- Milky Way
- Circumpolar/trails
In each category we will award two prizes:
- First prize: photographic material valued at 1.000 €.
- Second prize: photographic material worth 500 €.
You can also enjoy additional prizes such as a trip to the Alto Turia Astronomy Centre -CAAT- belonging to the Valencian Astronomy Association (two per person) and tickets to the Museu de les Ciències, Hemisfèric and Oceanogràfic.

The winning images will be exhibited in the exhibition ASTROCIUTAT. The Universe in Pictures in the Calle Menor of the Museu de les Ciències.
