Learn about the history of electricity, from the first spark created by man to the construction of modern plants for power generation.

Planet Power 3D tells the story of electricity and its role in modern life, from Benjamin Franklin’s kite to the Solar Impulse – the first manned solar-powered aircraft.  The film takes us on a journey through the work of pioneering scientists and inventors like Faraday, Volta, Franklin, Edison, and Tesla – work that started 200 years ago, driven by innovation.

Electricity is the energy of the future, provided it is produced in a clean and sustainable way. Through a combination of traditional animation, computer-generated imagery, and spectacular aerial shots, this film shows how renewable energies can help us to fight climate change while improving our quality of life and protecting the environment.
