Bells that ring without touching them, candles that are extinguished with a metal rod without the need to blow, jumping rings, electric arcs that cross space, or neon tubes that light up when you touch their ends, are some of the experiences that literally make our hair stand on end in the “High Voltage” show that forms part of the Science Theatre. Another of the most eye-catching instruments is the Tesla Coil, a transformer with spectacular effects, such as the lightning that it produces from more than one metre. With our “Science Pills” you can learn more about the Tesla Coil and the Van de Graaff generator.
