Riley leaves the Midwest when her father moves to work in San Francisco. Riley is guided by her Emotions: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness, who live in her mind. Although Joy, the most important one, tries to keep her positive, the others conflict on how to navigate through a new city, home, and school.
