Immerse yourself in the fascinating universe of Leonardo da Vinci and explore his incredible inventions created 500 years ago. Through interactive exhibits and an immersive zone, this exhibition reveals how his innovative ideas continue to connect with current and future technology.
Thanks to SENSORY4™ technology, you will live an immersive experience with motion graphics, 360° sound and high-definition projections that will transport you into the world of this visionary.
Step inside Leonardo’s impressive war machines, faithfully reconstructed by Italian craftsmen from his codices. Each model has been crafted using 15th century Italian materials such as wood, iron, brass, cotton, canvas and rope, following the traditional techniques of the time.
In addition, the exhibition offers a unique opportunity to view replicas of Leonardo’s notebooks, including the famous Codex Leicester (1504-1506), in which he recorded his studies on hydraulics, astronomy and geology.
It connects past, present and future through the legacy of a genius who not only revolutionised art, but also science and technology.
Leonardo da Vinci, born in 1452, was a visionary who fused art, science and technology. Famous for masterpieces such as the Mona Lisa, his genius encompassed futuristic inventions, engineering and scientific exploration, showing the interconnectedness of STEAM disciplines in a single brilliant mind.
The exhibition offers the only exact 360° replica of the Mona Lisa in the world, showing the front, back and sides of the painting. Thanks to Cotte’s 240 million pixel multispectral camera, visitors can discover hidden and revealing details of this masterpiece.
Leonardo is recognised as a pioneer in the study of anatomy. His tireless pursuit of knowledge about the human body produced groundbreaking discoveries that continue to influence modern medicine. His profound anatomical understanding remains a source of inspiration for medical studies today.

Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius offers a unique opportunity to enjoy replicas of Leonardo’s notebooks, written by him such as the Codex Leicester, written between 1504 and 1506, with 64 pages devoted mainly to hydraulics and the movement of water, geology and astronomy.
The Leonardo da Vinci Museum in Rome exhibits large-scale reproductions of the Renaissance genius’s inventions, created by Italian craftsmen. Now, visitors to the Museu de les Ciències can explore Leonardo’s designs for flying machines, such as the aerial screw, the flying machine and the parachute, based on his observations of nature. In addition, his vision for an ideal city is presented, with engineering models such as the self-propelled car, the bicycle and the odometer, which continue to inspire modern urban planning. All of this highlights Leonardo’s genius and innovative vision over the centuries.
Leonardo also excelled in music and optics. His hall of mirrors revolutionised drawing, allowing objects to be seen from all angles. He also designed innovative musical instruments, demonstrating his multifaceted talent.
