ACCESSIBILITY HEMISFÈRIC
At the Hemisfèric, we want everyone to be able to enjoy a comfortable and accessible experience. Here we explain the facilities available for people with disabilities or functional diversity:
- Access: fully glazed entrance door.
Reception: 118 cm high counter with partition. No magnetic induction loop. - Toilets: the toilets do not have a visual free/busy system or a lower free strip on the cabin door.
- Lift: the lift connects the hall to the projection room. Staff authorisation is required to use it from outside. No visual signage indicating floor or direction of travel.
- Shop: access via a permanently opening glass door.
- Screening room: equipped with a magnetic loop system that allows people with hearing aids to hear the audio in the room without interference.
- Access: fully glazed entrance door.
- Parking: 14 reserved parking spaces on each floor of the Umbracle underground car park, with horizontal signs and access to the Hemisfèric by means of two adapted lifts.
- Access: main entrance with stairs with 24 steps and handrails on both sides. Alternative entrance via lift (key to be requested from staff). Access to the projection room via ramp with low slope (2.44%) and non-slip flooring.
- Reception: lift-accessible lockers, with an alternative service area for people with reduced mobility.
- Interior mobility: accessible itinerary with corridors and doors over 120 cm wide. Homogeneous, non-slip flooring.
- Toilets: adapted toilets in the hall, with accessible cabins. The doors have a passage width of 90 cm, but the interior space does not allow a full turn of 150 cm. Toilets with grab bars and no alarm system.
- Lift: accessible lift connecting the hall and the projection room. Requires authorisation for use from outside. It has call buttons at a height of 115 cm and handrails.
- Screening room: accessible route by means of an adapted lift. Four wheelchair places available (these places must be requested when purchasing the ticket).

- Cafeteria / Restaurant: located in the hall, with unobstructed access and door always open. Non-slip flooring.
- Shop: located in the hall, with a level and accessible entrance. The aisles are wider than 90 cm, but the counter is not adapted.
- Access: glass door with contrasting visual signage. Stairs with tactile-visual strips on each step and fixed doormat behind the door.
- Reception: lockers in the hall with non-slip flooring and homogeneous lighting. 118 cm high counter with no direct lighting.
- Interior mobility: itineraries without obstacles or unmarked overhanging elements. Homogeneous, non-slip flooring. Glass doors with contrasted signage.
- Toilets: signposted with approved pictograms, but without chromatic contrast or tactile elements. Homogeneous lighting without timer.
- Lift: buttons in Braille and high relief, but no audible or tactile-visual signage indicating the direction of travel or the floor at which the lift stops.
- Projection room: stairs with light signage; dim lighting in the room.
- Cafeteria / Restaurant: cafeteria on the lower level with obstacle-free access, non-slip flooring and homogeneous lighting.
- Shop: entrance with no unevenness, non-slip flooring and homogeneous lighting.
