Have you ever seen the Sun up close?
We invite you to experience something different on Sunday, 18 May, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm: a live solar observation guided by experts, held in celebration of International Museum Day. This free event, open to the general public, will let you discover the secrets of our closest star.
Using telescopes equipped with special filters, you’ll be able to observe sunspots, solar flares, and bright red prominences emerging from the Sun’s surface — all in real time. A white projection screen will also be available to ensure safe and accessible viewing for everyone.
In addition, you’ll get to explore the fascinating world of light through an interactive exhibition table, featuring spectroscopes, prisms, solar system models, and much more — a chance to learn while having fun.
The activity will be led by professionals from Nébula and the Valencian Astronomy Association, who will share their passion for the cosmos and happily answer your questions.
⚠️ Important: The observation will be done using specially designed telescopes to view the Sun safely.
