GENERATIVE AI AND LANGUAGE MODELS (GPT, GEMINI, LLAMA…)

On 3 March 2026, the conference Generative AI and Language Models (GPT, Gemini, Llama…) will take place. This technical and outreach-oriented session will be delivered by César Ferri, Professor in the Department of Computer Systems and Computation at the Universitat Politècnica de València and member of the VRAIN Institute (Valencian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence).

Dr. Ferri has an extensive research career focused on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, as well as active involvement in the scientific community through editorial and program committees at specialized conferences in the field.

Analysis and Functioning of Current Language Models

The conference will explore the nature of language models in depth, explaining how current systems operate. During the lecture, the process of generating text and other types of content will be examined, identifying the tasks in which these tools prove most effective and analyzing situations where they present limitations or frequent errors.

Ethics, Reliability and Application in Professional Environments

The session will also address critical dimensions of this technology, such as system reliability, privacy management, and the presence of potential biases. A specific section will focus on the responsible use of artificial intelligence and on defining criteria to assess the real benefits of these tools in strategic areas such as education, research, and the business environment.
