SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK

The City of Arts and Sciences joins Science and Technology Week with a very special event on Monday, November 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the outdoor areas of the Museu de les Ciències.
A morning to enjoy, learn, and experience science for free — open to both schools and the general public.

Throughout the day, the Museu de les Ciències and the Oceanogràfic will showcase some of their most fascinating content through workshops, demonstrations, and hands-on scientific activities.

The Museu de les Ciències will reveal the most entertaining side of knowledge with Science on Stage activities designed for first-year secondary school students (1º ESO). Two areas will be available:

  • Experiment Zone: demonstrations with a vacuum pump, liquid nitrogen, and dry ice, where physics and chemistry come together to spark amazement and curiosity.

  • Microscopy Zone: visitors will be able to observe animal and plant samples, and even living organisms, exploring the fascinating world invisible to the naked eye.

Meanwhile, the Oceanogràfic will bring visitors closer to the richness of the marine environment with different areas dedicated to turtles, marine mammals, and sharks, offering an opportunity to learn more about biodiversity and the importance of its conservation.

Science and Technology Week is a national initiative that has been held since 2001, aiming to bring science closer to society, spark curiosity, and promote active participation in research and innovation.

Come and discover, experiment, and be amazed. Science is alive… and on this day, you’ll feel it up close!
