Celebrate International Museums Day at the City of Arts and Sciences

 

On Sunday 17 May 2026, the Science Museum will take part in International Museums Day with a programme designed for families to enjoy. A perfect day to discover, experiment and be amazed by science… with special offers and free activities!

 

1. Special offer: free entry for children

This Sunday, children take centre stage. Kids aged up to 12 can enjoy free entry to the Science Museum and experience a day full of science and fun.

How does the offer work?

For every standard adult ticket purchased, you can get one free child ticket.

How to get it

When purchasing your ticket online or at the automatic ticket machines, select your standard ticket and add the free child ticket (special rate available for this day only).

2. Live science: “Science on Stage”

 

Science also comes to life on stage. The Santiago Grisolía Auditorium will host two special sessions of “Science on Stage”, featuring surprising live experiments for both children and adults to enjoy.
The perfect way to round off your visit to the museum and immerse yourself in interactive learning.

3. And there’s more… solar observation on Monday, May 18

.

The celebration continues the following day with a very special activity: a solar observation session at the Umbracle.
On Monday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., you’ll be able to discover the Sun like never before, observing sunspots and other phenomena live through specialized telescopes, with the guidance of experts.
