2025 ROYAL SPANISH SOCIETY OF CHEMISTRY AWARDS AND HONORS CEREMONY
The Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry (RSEQ), a public utility entity with more than 5,600 members, is holding its Awards and Distinctions Ceremony in Valencia. Since 1980, the RSEQ has promoted, developed, and disseminated the discipline of Chemistry in Spain, recognizing outstanding researchers working in universities and public centers. Among its recognitions, the RSEQ Medal stands out as its most prestigious award, granted annually since 1958.
The ceremony is organized in collaboration with the Valencia Territorial Section, which hosts the event this year, in a privileged setting that brings together three universities offering a degree in Chemistry: Universitat de València, Universitat Politècnica de València, and Universitat Jaume I. During the event, eight awards will be presented in the categories of RSEQ Medal, Recognition of Distinguished Research Careers, Excellence in Research, and Pre-University Educational and Outreach Activities. The ceremony will also pay tribute to members with 45 years of commitment to the Society, and will conclude with a popular science lecture by UCB Biopharma, a collaborating company of the RSEQ.
The event is open to faculty, students, researchers, and the general public, and also serves as an opportunity to give visibility and prominence to the Valencian universities and the Chemistry Degree itself.
