The City of Arts and Sciences Club will allow unlimited admission to the entire complex or to selected buildings over one year
The “City of Arts and Sciences Club” is a new offer aimed at those members of the general public who would like to have an annual pass for unlimited access to the complex. These passes will be available in different forms. This initiative, beginning on Friday 15th February, is directed at the public in general, although it has been designed with residents of the Valencia Region and neighbouring areas in mind, given that their proximity to the City of Arts and Sciences will allow them to use the pass more often.
The reasons for creating this pass are to gain the loyalty of the Valencia public, respond to the growing demand of visitors that have asked for an annual pass, and to respond to the results of surveys conducted among the public that reflect that more than 90% would like to repeat their visit to the different elements of the City of Arts and Sciences.
Members will be identified by means of a personal card that may be of four different types: the City of Arts and Sciences Pass, the Hemisfèric Pass, the Science Museum Pass and the Oceanográfico Pass, each of which will have two separate admission fees: adult rate and family/reduced rate.
With regard to charges, the adult rate for combined admission to all venues will be 75 euros, 60 euros in the case of the Oceanográfico pass and 23 for the Hemisfèric and Museum passes. The family/reduced pass is made up of individual passes for each member at a reduced rate (25% on the adult rate) and a further 15% reduction will be applied in the case of large families. The reduced admission fee is 56.25 euros for the City of Arts and Sciences pass, 45 euros for the Oceanográfico and 17.25 euros for the Hemisfèric and Museum passes.
Hence, for smaller families consisting of at least two people related to each other, either by first or second degree in either ascending or descending lineage (grandparent, parent, child, grandchild), and provided that there is one child under 12 years old, each member will be entitled to the reduced admission rate.
For large families (at least three children or two, if one of them is disabled), the number of family members will be multiplied by the reduced rate and then a further 15% reduction will be applied to the result. Each further child that is later added will gain admission at the reduced rate, unless this is a fourth child or more, in which case that child or children will obtain the pass free.
Being a member of the Club will provide members with huge advantages, among which are the possibility of entering the Science Museum, the Oceanográfico and the Hemisfèric an unlimited number of times. Other benefits include a 10% discount in the shops, restaurants and car parks of the complex, as well as discounts at certain theme parks, museums or educational facilities that the City of Arts and Sciences has collaboration agreements with, such as Terra Mítica, Portaventura, Kinepolis, Isla Mágica, IVAM, FNAC, among others.
This initiative, together with that which was announced a few months ago – Valencian Day-, will allow the citizens of the Valencia Region to visit, on one or more occasions, the City of Arts and Sciences, free of charge in the case of “Valencian Day” on 8th and 9th October, or at a bargain rate by obtaining the “City of Arts and Sciences Club” pass.
